Visitors to Eastbourne are spoilt for choice when it comes to live theatre. The town's largest venues, the Congress Theatre and Devonshire Park are conveniently placed within the Devonshire Quarter which has undergone multi-million pound renovations including a brand new welcome building. 

The Congress Theatre is the largest theatre in Sussex with 1600 seats and the biggest touring shows in the UK and West End regularly perform at this newly updated theatre.

The Devonshire Park is the epitome of traditional British theatre, ornate plaster work and a stunningly impressive auditorium give the perfect atmosphere to enjoy one of the many professional touring shows, and it is famed for presenting a truly British pantomime during the Christmas period. The summer season will feature a professional production which is produced by the theatres especially for Eastbourne. 

Visitors can enjoy locally sourced craft ales in the updated theatre bars and car parking is readily available with the car park just a stroll away. The theatres are ideally located close to all the main Eastbourne hotels, positioned just off the seafront and it’s a short 10 minute walk to the train station.

Eastbourne Theatres ensures theatre is available to all with plenty of accessibility including: Wheelchair spaces in all venues, accessible toilets and blue badge parking near to venues, there are both infrared and induction loop hearing systems in place, guide dogs are welcome and orientation tours are available on request.
