Set in 89 acres of lovely gardens and parkland in England’s South Downs, Avisford Park is as majestic now as it was in the good Admirals days. These grounds include an 18 hole, 5,800-yard course and with a mix of testing par fives and scenic par threes, there is never a dull moment.

The course has been newly extended but still enjoys that beautiful country hotel complex setting. There is out of bounds (water) and tree hazards the whole length of the 414-yard first hole to negotiate, so you could be in trouble before you’ve even made it to the second tee!
