Riavvolgi il 1989 e The Shack ospitava effettivamente una fattoria di ostriche ... Scoppiando di fila su fila di serbatoi di purificazione di ostriche, le ostriche sarebbero state pulite dopo la maturazione nel fiume Avon e gli amanti delle ostriche sarebbero arrivati a frotte per comprare i loro molluschi freschi, portando con sé un pranzo al sacco, sgusciare le proprie ostriche e infilarsi un po 'di pane croccante e una bottiglia di vino (o due). La gente si sistemava le sedie a sdraio e trascorreva un pomeriggio nella pace e nella quiete della valle dell'Avon. Così, in un modo (letteralmente) organico, è nata The Oyster Shack. Mantenendo vivo questo ethos, ci siamo estesi alla zona in cemento e ospitato un ristorante sia all'interno che all'esterno - gli inverni sono rustici e accoglienti all'interno dal nostro fuoco scoppiettante mentre l'estate è goduta all'aperto all'aperto.

We are located in Bigbury, the nearest towns being Kingsbridge and Modbury and we're between the two.Potter along the tidal road past the Avon Estuary if the tide is right, or meander along the winding Devon roads if the water’s high and you will find The Shack tucked into the valley under a bright orange sail on Stake’s Hill.We have parking and our restaurant is wheelchair and buggy accessible.
