Visited by Royalty, the rich and the famous - Samuel Pepys described Mount Edgcumbe in 1683 as the 'most beautiful place as ever was seen'.

Mount Edgcumbe is a unique and much-loved landscape nestled away on a peninsula in the very furthest reaches of South East Cornwall. Almost entirely surrounded by water - to the South, a rugged coastline meets the English Channel, where the unabated power of the Atlantic Approach calms as the coast sweeps north east into Plymouth Sound and the mouth of the mighty River Tamar.

The Park stretches along 17.9 kilometres of coastline and contains 56 listed buildings and 5 ancient monuments. There is evidence of human occupations over eight and a half thousand years and the Park contains Neolithic, Stone Age, Iron Age, Bronze Age, Celtic, Roman, Norman, Medieval, Tudor, early modern English, middle English, Victorian, Edwardian and 20th century features.

Today we are home to a working Blacksmith, a hand-weaver, a textile artist, an upcycled home company, a guitar maker, an X-Ray artist, and a photographic studio. The Tudor House contains the family collection of wonderful books, paintings, furniture, clocks, silverware, porcelain, sculptures, wall hangings and various tapestries.

We also offer outdoor adventure with survival courses, a circus skills barn, an off-road Segway offer, a Frisbee golf course, archery, kayaking and SUP training and hire.
