Torre Abbey, opgericht in 1196, is een museum voor geschiedenis en kunst, gehuisvest in een oud gepland monument met prachtige en bekroonde tuinen.

Dit gezinsvriendelijke museum en tuinen in Torbay Council, gevestigd in Torquay aan de prachtige Engelse Rivièra, is een centrum voor creativiteit en cultuur - met een seizoensgebonden programma van tentoonstellingen, evenementen en activiteiten over beeldende kunst, geschiedenis en live-optredens.

Torre Abbey Museum, dat snel groeit als het belangrijkste culturele centrum van de baai, is waar tentoonstellingen van wereldklasse worden getoond naast creatief werk van lokaal opkomend talent.

Torre Abbey won the Gold Award in the Inclusive Access Category (and Silver in the Visitor Attraction of the Year categories) at the Herald Express South Devon Tourism & Hospitality Awards. For an 800 year old building, we are remarkably accessible, with disabled parking and level access into the house. We have a lift to all four floors and step lifts into other areas. We have an accessible toilet in both the main house and the cafe. Our staff will also be delighted to open to special gate that makes much of our gardens accessible to wheelchairs, including our palm house.
