De Geevor-tinmijn was de laatste mijn die in het beroemde district St Just Mining werkte en maakt nu deel uit van het werelderfgoed Cornish Mining. Geevor ligt op de kliffen tussen de ruige Penwith-heidevelden en de prachtige Noord-Atlantische kust in het dorp Pendeen, ongeveer 11 km van Penzance. Hier kunt u het verbazingwekkende verhaal van de tin- en kopermijnbouw in Cornwall en de mensen die erin werkten ontdekken.

Zet je helm op en verken de mijn! Word interactief in ons Hard Rock Museum. Ontdek hoe de rots werd gedolven en opgebracht vanaf 600 meter onder de grond. Je kunt ondergronds de 18e-eeuwse Wheal Mexico-mijn ingaan. Ontspan en geniet van het fantastische kustlandschap; loop de natuurpaden.

Er is de hele dag GRATIS parkeren voor onze bezoekers en GRATIS toegang tot onze winkel en café. Toegankelijkheids Informatie

Until very recently Geevor was an operating mine and is built on a steep slope. As a result some of the areas of the site are not accessible to those with mobility or visual impairments.

We would like everybody to be able to visit us and enjoy the site and are working towards this aim.
Currently there is wheelchair access to the Hard Rock Museum, a number of the mine buildings and many surface areas. The Shop and Café are fully accessible with wheelchair-friendly toilet facilities also available around the site.

We also offer guided tours around the site and underground to those with visual impairments and guide dogs are permitted everywhere on site, including the underground section.
