The Norfolk Mead is a beautiful Georgian Grade II listed country house venue offering visitors the chance to get away from it all. We are located in eight acres of lovingly kept private grounds in the heart of the unspoilt Norfolk Broads National Park, on the banks of the River Bure and just 14 miles from the stunning Norfolk coast. Easily accessible from Norwich train station and Norwich International airport, we are a great base for your Norfolk adventures. 

Welcoming locals and tourists, owners Anna and James have developed a relaxed and special experience across our elegant rooms, restaurant, spa treatment rooms, and a contemporary wedding and event space – The Garden Room, inside a quintessentially English walled garden. There is even a six seater English Harbour Yacht for hire. 

Anna and James’ hard work is evident in our array of awards and accreditations including our recent entry into the Trip Advisor Hall of Fame for five years of five star reviews from travellers and guests. We won ‘Best Boutique Stay’ in the Norfolk Muddy Stilettos awards, and have retained our AA Four Star Silver Country House Hotel grading, our 2 Star AA Rosette Award for Culinary Excellence for the restaurant; and been chosen as an accommodation provider in the English Parks National Experience Collection.
