The Multi Award winning West Bay Discovery Centre covers aspects of West Bay’s heritage such as the former shipbuilding industry, commercial fishing, the development of tourism and the surrounding environment of the Jurassic Coast. It features amazing photographs including a section on what makes West Bay special for people who live, work or visit West Bay, its history and heritage. We provide information on what’s on in West Bay and Bridport and also have a small gift area, which features products from local producers. Admission is free as it is run by a charity donations are very welcome.

Accessibility Information

We want to all visitors to  West Bay Discovery Centre to have a great time and are constantly working to improve our accessibility to all. The centre is accessible by wheelchair and displays using a variety of audio and visual mediums.
