The Jurassic Coast begins in Exmouth, East Devon, and continues for 95 miles to Old Harry Rocks, near Swanage, Dorset.

The Jurassic Coast is a hugely diverse and beautiful landscape underpinned by incredible geology of global importance. In 2001 it was inscribed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO for the outstanding universal value of its rocks, fossils and landforms. It remains England’s only natural World Heritage Site.

The Jurassic Coast begins at Orcombe Point in Exmouth, Devon, and continues for 95 miles to Old Harry Rocks, near Swanage, Dorset. This span takes in four distinct geographic regions – East Devon, West Dorset, Weymouth & Portland and Purbeck – each containing their own iconic towns, villages and natural landscapes.

The Jurassic Coast is home to some of England's most loved geological landmarks, Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove, but there is so much more to discover! Walk the epic South West Coast Path which runs along the entire length of the Jurassic Coast (and further!), it's a great way to see the amazing changeable geography of this stretch of coast. 

Be sure to visit the pretty seaside towns of Swanage, Lyme Regis or West Bay for something to eat or a chance to rest your feet.

There are plenty of places to stay all along the Jurassic Coast from luxury hotels to secluded campsites.
