A centrepiece on Plymouth's Hoe, Smeaton's Tower offers fantastic views from its Lantern Room. Originally built in 1759 on the notorious Eddystone Reef, the lighthouse was taken down, rebuilt on dry land and opened as a visitor attraction in the late 1800s. Climb the 93 steps to the top for some amazing views of Plymouth and its surrounding areas. See where the keepers of the Eddystone light lived from 1759 to 1882.
