Brownsea Island, located in Poole Harbour, has thriving natural habitats and is a wonderful place to visit for an adventure
It includes woodland, heathland and a lagoon. These habitats create a unique haven for wildlife, such as the rare red squirrel and a wide variety of birds, including common and sandwich terns and oystercatchers.
We offer free electric buggy tours for the less mobile, and all terrain wheelchairs and pushchairs are available for free from reception - please pre-book either/both. Paths leading to the Visitor Centre are fairly level and smooth. Brownsea Seahorse - wheelchair accessible vessel running on set days throughout the season. Booking is essential.
