The UK’s leading outdoor art gallery with 500 acres of beautiful historic parkland and five indoor galleries.

Yorkshire Sculpture Park (YSP) is the leading international centre for modern and contemporary sculpture which celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2017. Situated in the 500-acre, 18th-century Bretton Hall estate in West Yorkshire, YSP was founded in 1977 by Executive Director Peter Murray. YSP was the first sculpture park in the UK, and is the largest of its kind in Europe, providing the only place in Europe to see Barbara Hepworth’s The Family of Man in its entirety alongside a significant collection of sculpture, including bronzes by Henry Moore, and site-specific works by Andy Goldsworthy, David Nash and James Turrell.

Accessibility Information

Some areas of the Park can be difficult to access due to uneven terrain. We strongly advise wheelchair and mobility scooter users seek route and ground condition advice from staff at the Information Desk in YSP Centre. We offer free use of mobility scooters and wheelchairs, subject to availability and weather permitting – please call ahead +44 (0)1924 832631 to reserve a scooter or wheelchair for your visit. There is priority parking for Blue Badge holders in the main car park. Toilets are wheelchair accessible and there is a Changing Places toilet situated at YSP Learning.
