Operating from the heart of Scarborough’s surfing scene, Dexter’s provides Lessons & Hire for surfing Kayaking & Stand up Paddle boarding. We operate immediately on the North Bay Beach. Our Retail Shop Has been fully refitted in early January 2017 and boasts multiple changing rooms and hot showers. Dexters sells a huge range of hardware, accessories & clothing from leading surf brands, such as Adams Surfboard, FCS, Billabong, Ion Wetsuits, Gul, Animal and loads more!

Dexters is proud to be First and only surf school in the area to be granted academy status by the after passing stringent criteria, meaning we can not only teach students, but instructors too.

We have recently invested a vast amount into the surf school & hire centre which is run by our team of 5 fantastic staff, and headed up by Andy Desa The North of England’s only Olympic ISA Level 2 Surf Coach. So, rest assured, that our team provide the most professional experience, all year round, for age groups starting from as little as 5 all the way to 75.
