The annual White Cliffs Walking Week will be 30 June to 6 July for 2025 with two walks held on each day including St Margaret’s at Cliffe on Friday and Sandwich on the Sunday. This annual event is organised by the White Cliffs Ramblers.
Nothing beats exploring a town on foot, follow the Dover Bluebird Heritage Trail’s pavement markers for a fully accessible, self-guided tour. Dating back to at least the 5th century, you’ll take in the Roman Painted House and impressive Maison Dieu, Dover’s Town Hall, which reopened in May this year after major restoration.
Or discover the fascinating story of Sandwich, the most complete medieval town in England with guides from Sandwich History Society. Follow the footsteps of Viking and French raiders, armies bound for Crecy and Agincourt, and countless kings and queens. Each two hour tour starts at the Guildhall and is tailored to the group’s requirements.
